
September is Hunger Action Month®, when the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks unite to urge businesses and individuals to take action in their communities. Orange is the official color of hunger and Hunger Action Month®. This year our neighbors need us more than ever. Let’s end hunger together.
Canned Creations Competition
Build a creative structure using canned or packaged food items. Photos of structures can be submitted throughout the month of September. Once completed, all canned and packaged foods are donated to local NH Food Bank partner agencies for distribution to those in need and awards are presented to the top winners! Stuff a Cruiser
September (month-long): Throughout the month of September, join the NH Food Bank, local police departments, and supermarket chains at our annual Stuff a Cruiser events!
September 18 & 25: Mac Off Competition
Sign up for the 12th annual Mac Off Competition and see how many Minestrone Soup meals your team can pack! All meal packages will be distributed to families in need. We will host 24 teams per day, with 10 people per team. *Please note: Shifts are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
September 29: Hunger Action Day
Go orange on Tuesday, September 29 to celebrate Hunger Action Day® and bring awareness to the issue of hunger in our communities. Wear orange, turn your social media profile pictures orange, and encourage others to do the same! Take action at nhfoodbank.org/ham
