September is Hunger Action Month®, when the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks unite to urge businesses and individuals to take action in their communities. Communities across New Hampshire are shining a light on hunger this September by lighting local landmarks orange in support of Hunger Action Month. Confirmed Orange Light-Ups:

Canned Creations Competition
Build a creative structure using canned or packaged food items. Photos of structures can be submitted throughout the month of September. Once completed, all canned and packaged foods are donated to local NH Food Bank partner agencies for distribution to those in need and awards are presented to the top winners! September (month-long): Throughout the month of September, join the NH Food Bank, local police departments, and supermarket chains at our annual Stuff a Cruiser events!
- Friday, September 11 at Hannaford, Fort Eddy Road, Concord- Friends of Forgotten Children
- Saturday, September 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Market Basket, Fort Eddy Road, Concord The Friendly Kitchen
- Friday, September 18 at Shaw’s, 20 D’Amante Drive, Concord Salvation Army
- Saturday, September 19 at Walmart, Loudon Road, Concord Christ the King Food Pantry
