Fidelity provides 96,352 meals and 500 crates of fresh produce to support those in need in NH

Manchester, N.H. – Associates at Fidelity Investments in Merrimack, N.H. recently contributed $48,176 to the New Hampshire Food Bank. The fundraising drive will provide the equivalent of 96,352 meals to support individuals and families who do not know where their next meal is coming from. In addition to the $48,176 donation, Fidelity donated 500 crates of fresh produce, the equivalent of $5,000, to support those in need.

“We are extremely grateful to the entire team at Fidelity for their continued generosity and support for the New Hampshire Food Bank,” said Eileen Liponis, Executive Director, New Hampshire Food Bank. “An estimated one in nine people in New Hampshire, including 12% of children, struggle with food insecurity, meaning they do not know when or where their next meal will come from. Partnerships like this are critical to our efforts to help those in need.”

“Whenever our New Hampshire associates come together for the common good, the cumulative impact of their generosity is astounding,” said Sean Howell, Regional Co-leader, Fidelity Investments in Merrimack. “We are honored to help the New Hampshire Food Bank in its ongoing effort to address the basic needs of families in our state.”

In 2021, the New Hampshire Food Bank distributed more than 17 million pounds of food to more than 400 nonprofit food agencies in all corners of New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Food Bank expects to continue increasing food distribution to meet the need.
