New Hampshire Food Bank is currently accepting applications for new Partner Agencies!
At this time, we are looking for public serving food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelters to work with as our primary focus, with an additional focus on child feeding programs, senior feeding programs and college food pantries.
New partnerships will be evaluated based on a service-needs assessment, and may only be considered if they are located in a high meal gap community, address an unmet need–particularly within underserved or underrepresented communities, or introduce a unique distribution model that enhances and diversifies food access in ways not currently available within the network.
Eligible Partner Agencies:
- Must be an established public charity, non-profit Agency or church/community sponsored program serving the needy and must be tax exempt under the IRS Code 501(c)3, or function under the auspices of an umbrella organization. The public charity must operate for the purpose of serving the ill, needy, or infants, or use donated product in a manner relating to and consistent with the organization’s exempt purpose through programs that care for and serve the ill, needy, or infants
- Fiscal Agent Letters are required for all programs covered under the umbrella of another 501c3 organization.
- Must belong to only one Feeding America Food Bank (ex. Good Shepherd Food Bank, Vermont Foodbank, Greater Boston Food Bank, Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, Worcester County Food Bank, etc.)
- Must distribute food at no cost to clients, and in no way suggest or encourage donations, services, or exchanges in return for food. Food may not be offered as a barter or favor.
- Must not engage in discrimination in the provision of service against any person because of race, color, citizenship, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, disability, sexual orientation including gender identity or expression, unfavorable discharge from the military or status as a protected veteran or as otherwise prohibited under the current USDA nondiscrimination statement.
- Serve a clientele that is at least 50% low income and/or eligible for government benefits (AFDC, Fuel Assistance, SNAP, etc.). Must be able to provide proof of this.
- Food cannot be stored in private homes, even on a temporary basis. All sites must be permanent locations with adequate food storage. Locations must be commercial and/or state approved properties with a physical address.
- Provide license or proof that no license is necessary to the NH Food Bank. Self-Licensing/Self-Inspecting towns such as Bedford, Berlin, Claremont, Concord, Derry, Dover, Exeter, Keene, Manchester, Merrimack, Nashua, Plaistow, Portsmouth, Rochester, and Salem may have additional requirements for licensure in addition to state guidelines. It is the program’s responsibility to provide proof of licensure.
Applications that are considered not eligible based on the requirements above will be notified by email and made aware of what made them ineligible. Applications will be reviewed for Eligibility first, then Program Type, Operational Readiness, Regional Need and Local Need so that we can focus our resources on areas of the state that need our support the most.
