New Hampshire Electric Co-op (NHEC) and Northway Bank are joining forces to help raise $150,000 for the NH Food Bank. We need your help!
We chose September, in recognition of Hunger Action Month, to kick off the 2013 NHEC & Northway Bank Food Bank Challenge. The challenge will run through December 31 2013.
We’re excited to announce that every dollar donated, up to the first $80,000, will be matched by the NHEC Foundation ($50,000) and Northway Bank ($30,000). Your help can really go a long way – just $1 provides two nutritious meals for a person – just imagine how much hunger we could help eliminate by raising $150,000!
The NH Food Bank distributes food to approximately 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers, children’s programs, and other human service agencies throughout the state. Right now, its need for food has never been greater. Inventory levels are at a record low while demand is increasing. The NHEC & Northway Bank Food Bank Challenge aims to fill those empty shelves and help the NH Food Bank prepare for its busiest season – the holidays and winter months.
Please consider making a donation, no matter how small. Thank you!
