All September: Food Drive at Northway Bank locations throughout NHDuring Hunger Action Month, all Northway Bank branches throughout New Hampshire will collect canned goods to be distributed to registered agencies in the nearby areas. All September: Food Drive at Professionally Yours Hair Salon, LondonderryStarting in September, Professionally Yours Hair Salon in Londonderry is collecting food for the Food Bank! For every item you donate, the salon will give you a coupon for $1 off a service or retail purchase. Use your coupons right away or collect and use them up to $5 at once! Professionally Yours Hair Salon is located at 501 Mammoth Road in Londonderry, and you can visit them on the web at www.pyhs.net.
All September: Food Drive at Fex Ex in LondonderryThroughout September, Fex Ex in Londonderry is collecting canned fish for the Food Bank. Visit them at 10 Industrial Drive in Londonderry to drop off your items.
Saturday, September 11th: North End Food Drive with SNHUOn Saturday, September 11th, volunteer SNHU students will set out for neighborhoods throughout the North End of Manchester to collect food for the Food Bank. Students have already dropped off brown grocery bags for residents to fill with non-perishable food items. If you're in the North End on Saturday and see them with their shopping carts collecting food, feel free to drop off a contribution and help fill the Food Bank's shelves!
Saturday, September 11th: Fire Fighter Appreciation Day at Seacoast Harley DavidsonFrom 9am to 5pm, visit Seacoast Harley Davidson located at 17 Lafayette Road in North Hampton for their 1st annual Fire Fighter Appreciation Day! This is a family-oriented event that will have generations of fire equipment to tour, face painting, on-site pin striping by Committed Customs, patch sewing and leather repair, live music by Monkey Bar with special guests Al Barr and Scruffy of Drop Kick Murphies, homemade whoopie pies, and more. The Food Bank is teaming up with the Nashua Telegraph to bring you the 2010 Wicked Wine & Brew Fest during the 2010 September Hunger Action Month. The party will be held from 2-6pm at Mel's Funway Park in Litchfield, NH. Tickets are on sale now, and are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and include a 5oz commemorative sample glass and 10 sample tickets. Tickets for designated drivers and individuals 20 and under are available at the door the day of the event: designated drivers and people age 6-20 are $5 each, and children 5 and under get in free (discounted tickets do not include glass or sample tickets). Thursday, September 16th: GeoInsight Annual Golf OutingOn Thursday the 16th of September, GeoInsight Inc. will host it's annual golf outing for it's clients and friends. Though the tournament will be held in Worcester, MA, GeoInsight wanted to help out their community back home and has chosen to donate proceeds from one of their contest holes to the New Hampshire Food Bank.
Friday, September 17th: Ribbon Cutting for Healing Hands Chiropractic, LondonderryOn September 17th, Healing Hands Chiropractic will host a ribbon-cutting event at their new location, 156 Harvey Road in Londonderry. The Food Bank will be there to collect food donations, and for every item you bring, you will receive an entry into a raffle for some great door prizes! There will also be a DJ, a bouncy house, light refreshments, and other entertainment. The event will be held from 4-8pm. Friday, September 17th: Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at the Derryfield Country ClubNothing could be more fun than getting together with all your old high school friends, heartthrobs and rivals after so many years... unless of course there's a murder (gasp!) and the whole class has to figure out who did the crime! The Greater Manchester-Nashua Board of Realtors invites you to attend this murder-mystery theatre at the Derryfield Country Club to benefit the Food Bank. The first 50 guests to bring 5 or more food donations will receive a free gift! Tickets are $55 each and include a buffet dinner of soup, salad, grilled beef, chicken parmesean, wild mushroom ravioli & assorted desserts. Saturday, September 18th: Charity Yoga Classes at NH Power Yoga in S. MerrimackEver wanted to try doing yoga to increase flexibility, circulation, and balance? Visit NH Power Yoga, located in the DJ Square at 704 Milford St in S. Merrimack, on Saturday September 18th to attend one of their charity classes. There will be a beginner's class at 11am and an all levels class at 4pm. The suggested donation to attend is $5, plus NH Power Yoga will be collecting canned fish all month long. Saturday & Sunday, September 25 & 26: Macy's Shop for a CauseOn September 25 & 26, the Food Bank will participate in Macy's Shop for a Cause fundraiser. Come to the Macy's store in Manchester and donate $5 to the Food Bank, and you will receive an exclusive 20% off shopping pass (including most regular, sale and clearance merchandise!) PLUS a 25% off a single purchase for Saturday, October 16th. You will also be entered into a raffle to win a $500 gift card. Monday, September 27th: Gilbane Golf Tournament to benefit the Food BankGilbane Building Company has partnered with the Food Bank for the past few years as the beneficiary of their annual golf tournament. This year's will take place at the Golf Club of New England in Stratham, NH, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership with a great NH-based company!

Tuesday, September 28th: NH Grocer's Association Fall ConferenceThe Food Bank has been invited to return to the NH Grocer's Association Fall Conference, where we will have an informational booth as well as the opportunity to glean food from other vendor displays after the booth portion of the day. Last year we were able to receive over a thousand pounds of food for our agencies, so we are extremely exited for the opportunity to return!
Starting Tuesday, September 28th, the Widow's Son's Masonic Motorcycle Rider's Association will collect food and monetary donations across the entire state for the NH Food Bank. This drive will continue until November 1st so that the food and money can be delivered in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Thursday, September 30th: United Healthcare Charitable Community FairEvery year, United Healthcare in Hooskett hosts a fair for their community partners to set up displays and interact with employees to encourage them to donate, volunteer, and otherwise get involved with the community. If your company is interested in hosting a charity fair and would like to invite the Food Bank, please give us a call!
Starting at 10:30am on Saturday, October 9th, riders from all across the northeast will participate in a group ride from Seacoast Harley Davidson in North Hampton to Jillian's Billiards in Manchester. As part of this event, Seacoast Harley is asking every rider to bring a canned food item to donate to the NH Food Bank.
Thursday, October 14th: Oktoberfest at Concord Co-operative MarketOn Thursday the 14th of October, visit the Concord Co-operative Market on South Main Street in Concord for their annual Oktoberfest event! Admission is 1 food item donated to the Food Bank. Additionally, the Co-op will donate $1 for every Co-op cookbook sold that evening. For more information, visit www.concordfoodcoop.coop.
Friday and Saturday, November 5th & 6th: Manchester Marathon Association's Sports & Health Expo, Manchester On the 2 days prior to the November 7th Manchester Marathon, there will be a Sports & Health Expo at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. The Food Bank will have an informational booth and will be collecting food donations from 2-6:30pm on Friday the 5th and 9am-5pm on Saturday the 6th. This event is open to the public. Food Drive at Gilford CinemasBring 2 food items to donate to the Food Bank when you and your family or friends go out to the Gilford Cinemas, and you will receive a free bag of popcorn! For more information and to find out what's playing, call (603) 528-6600.

Fight Hunger with Fudge!The Mill Fudge Factory in Bristol, NH, has teamed up with the New Hampshire Food Bank to fight hunger with fudge. Click on the picture of fudge to visit a special order form, and 20% of your purchase will be donated to the Food Bank. What a great way to find the perfect Easter, Mother's Day, or birthday gift while also helping out your community. The Mill Fudge Factory is a family owned and operated business in the Lakes Region of NH. Their fudge is inspired by traditional Scottish fudge and has a melt-in-your-mouth texture that's not too sweet. They make each batch from scratch the old-fashioned way without any preservatives, artificial flavors, or colors using only the finest ingredients such as real maple syrup, Belgian dark chocolate, natural peanut butter and pure flavor extracts.

The Republic Cafe shares proceeds with the Food BankOn Monday, January 25th, the Republic Cafe opened at 1069 Elm Street in Manchester. The Republic is pledging 3% of their gross sales to the Food Bank, including all coffee, meals, and the bar. Check out Manchester's new hot spot on March 9th and 23rd, April 6th and 20th, May 4th and 18th and so on, and 3% of your bill will go towards running the Food Bank's programs that fight hunger in NH.
