On World Food Day in 1984, founding members Monsignor Quinn and Richard Bunker proudly opened the New Hampshire Food Bank’s doors. The Food Bank had 600 square feet of space in a garage. Serving as the only food warehouse distribution center in the state, the Food Bank's approach to ending hunger includes developing programs to help educate its member agencies, starting a Mobile Food Pantry, and expanding Cooking Matters®, a program of Share Our Strength.
In August of 2010, the Food Bank moved into a new building with 60,000 square feet. We have seen increased efficiency in our new home, including improved work flow and the ability to stretch donor dollars when purchasing food due to more storage/capacity.
